An audit that turns a proven, hand-run operation into a documented, faster system. The foundation for moving into fabrication, and in time the planned water-tank subsidiary.
NXT Steel is an established, profitable steel supply business. The process is effective, but much of how it operates is undocumented, held as individual knowledge rather than as a defined, repeatable system. That includes vendor selection, supplier pricing, and the markups applied to each deal.
Growth into fabrication depends on the core order process running faster while staying reliable, and on that knowledge being captured in a system. An earlier in-house effort to automate it stalled on the volume of edge cases, which is exactly where an independent audit adds the most value.
Every order moves through these five stages. Today each one is handled by hand and re-entered along the way. The audit maps it end to end so it can run as one connected, repeatable flow, with QuickBooks remaining the system of record.
We document how the operation runs today, end to end, and turn it into clear SOPs and diagrams you can build from.
We build the system on top of that map, at a pace that suits your team, starting with the changes that add value soonest.
We support you running it, with every hour on a weekly report and the system documented and owned by you.
Matt and Luana lead the engagement and the calls. Flavio, our senior technical lead, joins as the technical architect and builds the system.
A structured audit of how NXT Steel runs today, turned into something you can hold, hand to a developer, or build from. It includes:
A written audit report: the current-state map, the documented SOPs, a proposed future-state design, the prioritized roadmap, and an implementation estimate.
Likely a simple custom interface on Supabase and Cloudflare, connected directly to QuickBooks so the estimates and purchase orders you already use stay central. That removes the dependence on Airtable and its limits, and keeps NXT Steel in full control of its own data. Confirmed during discovery.
Everything shared with us, including pricing, vendor relationships, and customer information, is treated as confidential.
We work on a retainer. You deposit a prepaid balance, we draw it down only as we work, and any unused balance is always yours, refunded or rolled forward, never lost. Every hour appears on a weekly report, and if a phase is going to run long, you hear it first.
This covers the full audit and any small quick wins worth completing along the way, and you walk away with the written report and roadmap, yours to keep. It is the one step you approve to get started.
✓ Zero-risk: refunded in full if you are not satisfied in your first 10 hoursAfter the audit, most clients move into a monthly retainer to complete the build, at a lower locked rate. For a project of this size, Growth would likely carry it through to completion over roughly three months. We confirm the right plan as an output of the audit.
Monthly plans run on a 3-month minimum, then month to month, and an annual term locks the lowest rate. Unused hours roll over. This proposal is valid for 30 days from the date above.
